Mt Cheeseman has a distinctive fun, family friendly atmosphere. You can drive directly to the ski area where you will find diverse terrain for all abilities and loads of great facilities.
There’s a sunny day lodge with a large wrap around deck, licensed Cockayne Café and gear hire.
The learner tow is right outside the day lodge and there are two T-bars to take you to the top.
The Main T-bar accesses the Main Basin with extensive grooming, the Ridge T-bar offers challenging off-piste skiing with spectacular views.
Snowline Lodge has ski-in, ski-out accommodation and at the base of the mountain is Forest Lodge with an on-site outdoor ice rink.

Craigieburn Range Mini Mission at Snowline Lodge

This lodge-based series of day trips will base on any of the Craigieburn Range ski areas, staying at Cheeseman and accessing terrain depending on group ability, desire and conditions.
Three days touring with a professional ski guide and three nights’ accommodation at Snowline Lodge. There is a 3-day sliding start, depending on the weather.

Wednesday 10th September to Saturday 13th September - Mini Mission 2
Cost is $1,895 / person, including all food, accommodation, lift access and certified NZMGA Ski Guide.
Remember to bring your sleeping bag, towel and pillowcase. Day pack is also essential for carrying touring gear and items for a day backcountry skiing.
Four Day Avalanche Skills Course
Ski Area Package
The Four Days Avalanche Skills Course is aimed at experienced tourers, the course will provide a hands-on approach to alpine travel and snow assessment. The Course is run by Anna Keeling Guiding and based at Cheeseman Ski Area, staying at Snowline Lodge.
The course will suit those who have a basic understanding of avalanche phenomena and spend time traveling in alpine terrain as part of tramping trips, hunting, mountaineering, skiing, snowboarding or other outdoor experiences. This course is not for walkers however - everyone must be on skis or snowboards and must be of an intermediate or better standard in all snow conditions. You will be out all day, you will be hiking on skins.
Cost: $1845 inclusive of 3 nights accommodation at Snowline Lodge, lift passes, course material and instruction, certified transceiver test, and a ticket to Cheeseman's Spring Ball
