Winter or Summer Cheeseman has your accommodation or function venue needs covered. Easily accessed our Base Area Lodges are set right in the heart of the Craigieburn Range and offer breathtaking views across the Castle Hill Basin & Beyond!
The Mt Cheeseman base area lodges are available for exclusive hire during the Summer season (October - April) and offer great value for money and multiple options whether it be a wedding, 21st birthday, conference or a mountain getaway for friends and family.
Both Lodges are easily accessed by vehicle straight to the door via our 12km gravel road which winds its way through the Beech Forest of the Craigieburn Forest Park. The lodges are on the doorstep to many activities in the Castle Hill Basin area which include mountain biking, hiking, rock climbing, Cave Stream and simply enjoying the great outdoors!
There is flexibility to hire one or both lodges depending on your requirements and they are on mains power which makes their operation easy and simple for any number of guests. Most groups provide their own catering or bring in outside caterers and we do have the option of providing Cheeseman specific catering, to large groups, by prior arrangement.
Snowline Lodge
This is our accommodation lodge which has 69 beds in bunkroom style shared rooms. There is a cosy lounge with wood fired pot belly, full commercial kitchen facility, drying room and bathroom / shower facilities.

Daylodge
The Daylodge is an ideal venue for wedding receptions, conferences and parties and is situated right next to Snowline Lodge giving great separation for those that want to party into the night whilst giving the ability for others to retreat to bed or the peace and quiet of the Snowline Lodge Lounge. This building has its own toilet facilities and the bar / cafe kitchen can be made available to use.
