Lakeside Soldiers Memorial Hall

Lakeside Road, Lakeside

One of the winners of the 2019 Canterbury Architecture Awards, the Lakeside Soldiers Memorial Hall was rebuilt in 2018. The long function room has retained some of its old charm, with the fireplace and the open sky courtyard at the heart of the building, paved with bricks from the original hall.

Capacity: 150 people

Glenroy Community Hall

Windwhistle Road, Canterbury

This idyllic country venue complete with its high gable roof is the dream location for a wedding. Royal red curtains frame the windows of the hall, with wreaths and bouquets hung up — a romantic place to say your vows, before you dance the night away on its wooden floors.

Great for photos, you enter the grounds through a classic country white picket fence.

Southbridge Hall

High Street, Southbridge

This heritage listed, 1930s-built hall has a unique cream exterior coating with grand pillars. The venue features a large supper room and a hall with a mezzanine arched stage complete with red curtains, it’s the perfect place to say your vows.

Ladbrooks Community Hall

13 Barnes Road, Halswell

Built in 1913, this old school hall is bursting with character and features a great dance floor, polished hardwood floors, a built-in stage and supper room.
