Your guide to Garden Centres and Nurseries in Selwyn

Flowers are medicine for the soul. No matter what is going on in anyone’s life, flowers can bring smiles to faces and serve as a reminder that there is always beauty in the world.

So, we thought we would give you a nudge in the right direction to help you find the flowers you are looking for this spring, all sourced from local Selwyn companies and markets.

Peonies are a favourite among many because they are so vibrant and full. There really is no need to mix them with other flowers to come away with a beautiful bouquet.

Representing love and honour, peonies make a wonderful gift for any loved one, and can brighten up any environment.

High Country Peonies has it all there for you. From bold red peonies to pastel pinks and creams, you won’t be short of choices.

Open since 2014 and available for international export, these peonies are fantastic flowers for those who are looking for those extra professional touches.

To order these please either call High Country Peonies or email them (details on their website). Visitors can only attend on garden club open days or through appointment only due to the busy nature of the garden and the work involved.

Rhododendrons are grand and beautiful. They come in a wide range of colours and are enough to turn anybody’s head. Simply put, they are a sheer delight to look at and with their easy care and low maintenance growth habits, they seem to be a favourite amongst our Kiwi gardeners.
