Temple Basin Ski Area is primarily known for its winter activities, however, there are still opportunities to engage with the area during this time.
One notable summer activity is the Work Parties organized by the ski club. These events are held throughout the summer and involve maintenance tasks such as lodge repairs, track maintenance, and trap line setting. Participants can contribute to the upkeep of the resort while enjoying the alpine environment. For every 8 hours of work, volunteers earn a ticket redeemable for accommodation or a ski pass during the winter season.
Additionally, the Goods Lift operates by prior arrangement during the summer, allowing for the transport of equipment to the upper mountain. Access to the resort requires a 40-50 minute hike from the car park, suitable for those looking to enjoy the alpine scenery.
While summer activities are limited, Temple Basin offers a unique opportunity to experience the alpine environment in a different season, contributing to the maintenance and preservation of this historic ski area.
