New Zealand Lavender is working on producing 100% pure and natural lavender essential oil and related products. New Zealand Lavender oil is produced from New Zealand’s unique cultivar of ‘True Lavender’ – Lavandula angustifolia ‘Avice Hill’, the most popular and safest of the lavenders. The lavender is grown, harvested and distilled and the oil bottled and packaged in New Zealand.

New Zealand’s unique cultivar of Lavandula angustifolia ‘Avice Hill’ is bred using traditional plant breeding techniques and is not genetically modified. No herbicides or insecticides have been used on the plants in NZLavender farm. The lavender field is cultivated and hand-weeded to prevent contamination from other plants.

Every summer over 110,000 Lavandula angustifolia ‘Avice Hill’  plants turn our Canterbury farm purple with a spectacular show of flowers. These flowers are the source of NZLavender's specialised pharmaceutical-quality lavender essential oil - known for its soothing, healing, and balancing properties with soft sweet fragrance.
