Middle Rock Farm Tour

Middle Rock Station offers visitors a comprehensive farm tour experience in the scenic Lake Coleridge high country just one hour’s drive west of Christchurch.

Experience life on a New Zealand sheep farm.

With its easy access for large tour coaches, Middle Rock is an ideal venue for international visitors, farming delegations and families wishing to experience first hand, life on a high country sheep station. Tours take up to 3 hours and include viewing seasonal farming activities, sheep dog mustering, sheep handling and lamb feeding (in season). For farming groups a more specialised approach is taken according to the interests of the group. Morning or afternoon teas served with the family in the homestead kitchen, are also included. Lunches can also be provided.

A visit to Middle Rock offers the opportunity to be guests of a New Zealand farming family in a non-commercial environment amidst the stunning high country scenery of the Lake Coleridge area. Each tour day is different depending on what is happening on the farm. There are no minimum numbers, each group has exclusive access and  we are open all year by appointment.
