When winter rolls around each year, it is a fantastic place to be, surrounded by unique skiing and snowboarding opportunities across the legendary Canterbury club fields.

Forest Lodge has its own breath-taking on-site outdoor natural ice skating rink. You don’t even need to come equipped with your own skates, there are skates to hire for a koha donation.

Only an hour and a half away from busy Christchurch, located at the base of Mt Cheeseman’s Ski Area, an alpine retreat is right at the tip of your fingertips.

And if you want variety, Forest Lodge is within a 30 minute drive to three other ski fields. So why not try them all out and find your favourite? Throughout the winter season each ski field hosts several unique winter events worth checking out, ranging from Ridercross to Oktoberfest.

During summertime, there is still ample things to see and do, if you’re visiting Forest Lodge. Local attractions such as Cave Stream, and Kura Tawhiti are popular amongst locals and visitors, and don’t even get us started on how fantastic the hiking and biking trails in the Craigieburn Forest Park are! These trails are right on Forest Lodge’s doorsteps and make for fantastic memories with the family.

And if you want to go all out and hire Forest Lodge for a private venue, it can accommodate up to 38 people for $1000 per night, so you can host your own event in the most spectacular of places with iconic landscapes and surroundings.
