Highway 73
A weekend full of fun telemark events, socialising and clinics at Broken River
Come to this event and learn a different way to ski!
Telemarking (also known as freeheeling) is a fun skiing technique - named after the place it originated from, the Telemark region in Norway.
It is a squat-like motion, where the skier lifts the heel of their foot on the ski, creating better turns and control of their movement at a fast pace.
Broken River's Freeheel Fun Weekend event draws in telemarkers from far afield and is a great chance to get together with other freeheeling fanatics.
Happening over two days, the first day on Saturday has events running throughout the day, open to all telemark abilities, and there will be some spot prizes. If there is enough interest, some beginner clinics will be held. How to find us
