The Shearer's Hut at Rockwood Station

Situated in the Canterbury foothills, is a one bed-roomed, delightfully renovated Shearer’s hut in the farm yards of the working farm Rockwood Station in Windwhistle.

During your stay you can explore our bush walk set in 100 acres of native bush, and sit on the deck watching farm life. Take the opportunity for a picnic by our river with the bellbirds and learn about the history of our 100 year old Cobb Hut and family graves.

The Shearers' Hut is next to the well-known Washpen Falls Walkway on a neighbouring farm and is a perfect setting for a cosy, romantic getaway. It's close to Lake Colerdige, Mt Hutt and Selwyn's six ski fields
