Kite Day 2027

Gather your whānau for a colourful day of kite-flying fun at Foster Park. Watch giant inflatable show kites, from dragons and cartoon characters to creative creatures and colourful  shapes, soar across the sky.

Bring your own kite or buy one from the pop-up shop, then join in the fun or watch expert kite flyers showcase their skills. Pack a picnic or enjoy delicious kai from local food trucks and make a day of it.

Postponement date: Sunday 7 February
