Enjoy melodies and harmonies of great songwriters who throughout the ages have used seasonal themes to write about life, love and friendship in a variety of songs from the 12th to the 21st century which display the many different moods of spring, summer, autumn and winter, ranging from the joyful vigour of the 13th century Sumer is icumen in, to the melancholy reflection of Ola Gjeilo’s Autumn song. In contrast Rolleston College’s Harmony Haemata presents songs by contemporary composers alongside two well-known waiata.
