Broken River

Broken River is a fantastic destination during the warmer months, perfect for birthdays, weddings, family reunions, or simply a relaxing weekend away. The alpine lodges offer a stunning and memorable setting for any special occasion.

There’s something here for everyone. Nature lovers, artists, photographers, and those curious about alpine flora and fauna will all find plenty to explore. Mountain bikers can enjoy exciting tracks down in the valley, while those looking to unwind can soak in the breathtaking views from the lodge, curled up with a book.

Alpine Accommodation

We offer two comfortable lodges nestled in native forest at 1,340 metres. Each has a commercial kitchen, bunkrooms, and a drying room. One lodge sleeps 24 people; the other sleeps 27. Access is via walking track or a high-clearance 2WD vehicle along a narrow mountain road. Guests should bring a sleeping bag and pillowcase, or linen can be hired.

Also available: a day lodge located in the alpine basin, complete with a large lounge, commercial kitchen, sound system, BBQ, and a spacious deck. Access is by foot or 4WD only.

Lodge Details

• Lyndon Lodge: The more modern of the two, with smaller shared bunkrooms and a family room.
• Broken River Lodge: Offers sweeping views of the Castle Hill Basin and is just three minutes closer to the main ski basin.
